Amanda grew up in Pictou, and is so proud to be back “home”.
Dr Amanda Hill has been practicing dentistry in Pictou County since she graduated from Dalhousie Dental School in May of 2008. A Pictou Academy graduate, Amanda then attended StFX University before being granted early acceptance to Dalhousie Dentistry. She received the Canadian Dental Association President’s Award for “outstanding qualities of leadership, scholarship, character, and humanity, and will be expected to have a distinguished career in the dental profession and society at large.”
Dr Hill was named by 21inc in 2015 as one of the Top 50 Under-40 Leaders in Atlantic Canada, for her leadership and passion for community development. Amanda is very involved in her local area, from coaching to singing to the United Way and much more. Dr Hill is also the current President of the Northern Nova Scotia Dental Society, member of the Nova Scotia Dental Association Professional Development Committee, and was named as Nova Scotia’s representative on the Canadian Dental Association’s ‘Future of the Profession’ National Task Force in 2017.
Amanda is excited to open her own practice, and is experienced and skilled in all aspects of dental treatment. She has a special interest in dental implant placement and restoration, and cosmetic dentistry, and is pleased to see all patients from infants to seniors. Dr Hill keeps her knowledge current with frequent continuing education courses across North America. Her confident and friendly approach puts her patients at ease, and she is known to cheerfully hum to them while she works. Amanda loves her career and takes pride in her work, and enjoys seeing patients have their healthiest, brightest smiles!
